.dmg - not recognized

I downloaded a 6 GB file from a torrent. It is a .dmg file and I can NOT mount it. I've tried ever conceivable method and I keep getting a "not recognized" error. I don't know if the file is corrupt; it is downloaded quite often according to the torrent site.

You could mount it using Toast Titanium - but it doesnt sound a good file to me.

Toast will only mount it as an audio file. The .dmg image is corrupt, from what I've gathered.
