Could use some advice. :/

Hi. I have a MacBook unibody running OS X 10.6.1
Im trying to tether my iPhone to the laptop.

I downloaded 3Proxy and MobileTerminal.

I created the ad hoc server on airport.

I joined it with my phone, and I typed SOCKS into terminal.

All I need to do now is enter the IP address of the phone and port number into my browser.

My question is: Can I do this through Safari? I have no internet so I can't dl Firefox. I could use someones advice.
