Copying DVD to Computer

I don't know if this is an OS X question.

I have a DVD I would like to copy to my computer HD. I don't know how to do it. I'm listening via DVD Player

Anyone??? I tried using Safari's disk copy application and instead of getting a copy of the disk I got two folders.. one is Audio_ts and the other is Video_ts

Both appear to be empty.

Assuming you are trying to copy a commercial DVD (like, for example, Schindler's List), it is a "challenge" to do that. And there is the "belief/argument" that such DVDs should not be "allowed" to be copied. I have my own thoughts about all that, but that is not germane to this discussion.
