Can Time Machine backup iPhone data?

I have iMac 27” running OS X El Capitan. I have installed 4 TB WD Time Machine application and it have plenty of room. I want to know if I can backup my iPhone by creating a separate partition on the WD external HDD. Can it be done?

Hello and welcome,

You cannot backup your iPhone directly to a separate disk partition. You can create a backup within iTunes, which will then be backed up via Time Machine. You can also use iCloud to store iPhone backups.
