I have a 2017 Intel Core i5 iMac running Ventura 13.7.6. The computer kept prompting me that it was going to restart overnight to update, but I always kept it working through the night. I finally restarted it yesterday and I guess it updated. Now my upper left hand bluetooth icon has a solid white line through it. I tried everything suggested in a google search: I option clicked on it and it says version v0 c0 and there are no options to click on. When I go to system settings, I can turn it on, but it doesn't show any bluetooth devices, even though I have like 10 around the computer. There is nothing to click on. I also reset the bluetooth module and reset the config files. Nothing. Why would bluetooth suddenly stop working? I need it for my work-from-home job, as I use the wireless keyboard and mouse with a mirrored screen across my room. I'm really frustrated that bluetooth would just stop working...please help!

I would appear that Bluetooth is either switched off or did not instal correctly with the update.

Have you tried turning the Mac off leaving it for a few moments and turning it back on? It's surprising what this simple step can fix, especially after an update.
If that fails you should also try resetting SMC and PRAM; https://www.macworld.com/article/224955/how-to-reset-a-macs-nvram-pram-and-smc.html

Have a look in About this Mac under the Apple Menu. Go to More Info and check System Report, what appears under the Bluetooth Menu in the sidebar?

If you have nothing after all the above steps then the only suggestion I can give you would be to reinstall macOS.

You can do this from the Recovery Partition accessed by Starting Up from Off while holding down the Command-R keys until the Apple logo appears.
In the window that appears you will see Reinstall MacOS....(whatever OS you are using).
This will not erase any of your personal data but as usual I recommend you perform a full backup using Time Machine or similar first.

There is the faint possibility that it could be a hardware issue but that is unusual.
