Black Box on Screen

Hi

All of a sudden on iMac G5, black box has appeared around when you higlight an icon, also appears randomly on top of documents.

Have you recently added any software to that Mac, OS updates etc ?

What version of OS X are you running ?

Hi Ric

Have some software on trial, such as shadowcaster extension for Quark, was my first thought and deleted it. however box still remains, we also have another piece of software on trial which is Dynastrip Impostion Software.

We are currently running OS X 10.4.7

I remember when Shadow caster first came out ! (getting old)

Have you tried the usual repair disk permissions, repair disk using the Tiger DVD as a boot up disk ?

Hmmm, I wonder have you accidently turned on "Voice Over" ?

Do the black boxes look like this...

Try Command + F5 to turn it off...
