Black boxes appearing when i preview photos

I tried googling this problem, but have been unable to find anything similar. Hope i can get some help!

Whenever i preview my photos, occasionally, black boxes will start appearing on the photo, until they cover most of it. (See the screenshot). It doesn't cover the photo entirely, and the pattern of the black boxes changes every time.
The photo is perfectly fine when opening with photoshop or camera raw 7.0

Has anyone ever encountered this or have any solutions?

Thanks!

It has started to become more and more of a nuisance as i preview through my photos before editing.
I am using a macbook air on version 10.9.4

Thanks again!

I'd say it was a problem with the .ARW Quicklook pluggin, check Adobe for an update. I'm guessing ARW means Adobe Raw?

The exact same problem still persists despite me updating Adobe Photo Raw from 7.0 to 7.1

Does anyone have any idea why?
The screen shot was made of the preview when i press my spacebar of the file when in finder.
