Apple care

purchased m1 air march 2023, apple is refusing extended care on line saying if not in 60 days .....not available, having having 4 other apple products this is the first time hearing this ......in the past have always waited to purchase extended warranty due to the device cost ........anyone know whats going on with apple care ?.........thanks

In the past Apple used to allow you to purchase AppleCare within the 1st year of normal coverage. They changed that awhile back to having to purchase AppleCare within the first 60 days of owning the Apple product.
