account to admin

hello. i have a problem with my admin account. i accidentally changed my other account's permission from admin to standard. and when i type the admin username and pass of the other admin so i can change the permissions, the macbook doesn't recognise it. also when i am using the admin account it doesnt allow to me to access or change any permission of the standard account. my macbook is leopard 10.5.8

Do you still have the DVDs that came with your OS. If you do you can reset the Password from those. Boot from the DVD, hold down the C key during startup.
