I've got a 2x2.4GHz 12-core Mac Pro with 28GB of RAM and 400+GBs of free space on the main HD. I recently installed Mavericks (with no problems). When I start certain tasks, like, say, accessing the font list in Word, the machine hesitates for a moment, I see the spinning wheel for a second, and then it proceeds. This happens in other situations, too. It obviously isn't a RAM or free disk space issue. All diagnostics (Disk Utility, Disk Warrior, etc.) show no problems, except DW lists A LOT of damaged Property Lists and one damaged Header that "can't be repaired." When I asked someone at Apple whether there could be a connection, he said yes and advised me to do a clean install of Mavericks, and restore my stuff via Time Machine. I tried that, and there was no change. Does anyone have any suggestions? Thanks!
