wierd behaviour

Hey guys, I'm having a few issues with my macbook (2gb ram, 120gb hd, osx 10.4.11). When I turn it on, the hd icons for osx and for windoze keep moving. I'm also not sure if this is a related issue but I use a bt homehub and even tho' it is still connected, safari and firefox say it isn't. Also, firefox is REALLY slow!

Any ideas?
