I posted this a while ago and thought it resolved, but the problem only hid for a while and then snuck back again soon after posting.

I've got an odd file that won't delete from my recycle bin.

When i copy the name and paste, it comes up like this:
␀␀
␀␀␀.?␀

- never seen anything like it before and comes back with nothing on search engines. has anyone come across anything like this?

I have not seen that on my Mac. Have you tried to use Secure Delete (Finder > Secure Empty Trash)?

- yes i've tried every kind of delete i can think of, including script suggestions that i've seen online. nothing seems to work. very odd no?
