Want folders on iMac 'to fit' size of screen in Wallpaper settings

Ventura. How does one change a folder of pics 'to fit' to the iMac screen size.. I don't see any 'to fit' button in the Wallpaper settings. Rather sure it was there but not anymore.

Not sure what macOS feature you refer to, but if it’s a matter of gaining full control of your windows, as your post suggests, you can try this freeware app called Rectangle. The non-pro version is free and can be downloaded from:


Try it if you like it. There are so many controls and settings that it can be overwhelming, but as long as you can find the one you need, you don’t have to use the rest.

Just to make sure I understand. You want a folder of pics, in icon view I suppose to become your desktop Wallpaper? Is that correct?

Yes that is it though I did finally manage to get it to do what I wanted. From another thread. This seems to work. Pull up wallpaper settings. Add the folder you want to use as wallpapers. Click on any one of the photos in that folder. (Still in the wallpaper settings). Then you can set it to 'fit screen' or 'full screen' or the other choices available. Then go back down to the folder that you using and click on the rotate pictures button.
