My 2017 iMac 21.5", Ventura 13.7.8 has started registering speeds of as low as 1.9Mbps but with a Cable, it's in high 30s. Also my 2011 MacBook in same room gets speeds in 30s.......any Idea?

My guess is that parts of macOS connected with online access are damaged. I would first try reinstalling/updating macOS Ventura. If that sound too daunting, you could try running Onyx.app, which is free and available here:

It’s free, an all-purpose Mac maintenance utility that I would simply describe as venerable.

Onyx is good for resetting a number of system processes, including internet connection, emptying trash that would not empty, launch services (when default apps don’t launch right), spotlight index (when searches fail), among other things. Been using it for donkey’s years and have yet to be disappointed. I repeat—venerable.

Got Onyx and ran Wireless Diagnostics......it tells me "Your wi-fi connection seems to be working as expected". That may be cause it IS working fine today...Thanks, I can keep an eye on it now.
