Hi,

My MacBook Pro is in a restart loop where it will display the Apple logo and the progress bar, then when the progress bar is about 3/4 the screen will turn black and the message “Your computer restarted because of a problem. Please press a key or wait a few seconds to continue starting up.” shows but the computer never actually goes to the login screen. I have tried holding shift while it starts, and I have tried option+command+p+c when it starts. Any ideas? Thanks!

Hello and welcome.

-Which model MacBook Pro - 2010-2012 possibly?
-Which version of OS X/macOS?

This has been known to be caused by a faulty SATA hard drive cable or keyboard in the past.

We'll see if we can narrow it down for you,

C
