the pc gods always like lavish sacrificials and they do not mind when you go the extra mile and sacrifice more then just one computer
and the helpdesk just put you on hold please hang on

So far the computer gods are smiling on us... We put in a request for a GB of RAM and today, 2 GB of RAM arrived!

I would say that the computer gods are in split teams about me, I've fed and nurtured my precious Performa 475 so that it still runs beautifully after 12 years, but I can barely count now many Windows machines I've been through in the last 7 (I bought the first of the Wintel boxen in '99 and got the Mac in '94).
