Hi, i can easily drag & drop downloaded YouTube videos, that i like to watch later. (hate watching TV normal channels and especially the news.)
so i use a program called "Downie 4" which will do a very good job of downloading youtube videos a Mp4 files... but occasionally those files go above 4 Gig... below 4 gig file transfer by drag & drop is easy... but the mac rejects files above 4 gig... (being almost deaf, i like to get subtitles on, but also have a headset that is good with most files... I will eventually lose my hearing. been stone deaf 4 times and it is frightening...)
love the science shows and technical lectures... but am also learning Australian Sign Language... (but they do it too fast for me)
i have used Photoshop's Bridge program, and it is good for 4gig to 5 gig Mp4 files.. but above that like tis 6 gig files, it will get to 60 to 70 percent and then just hang. (the bridge program will easily transfer photoshop files up to 8 gig, the largest file i have (an incredible 1888 Spanish bullfight poster courtesy for the Barcelona archives).. with out any problems. (I have large format poster printer)
any one know how to get Large files from an iMac to a usb stick.?
regards, Sandy
