I cannot prevent Music from starting when using my browsers. After quitting Music the the app starts again.
What can I do to prevent Music from starting.
It's very annoying because I'm listen to music using Spotify and other streaming services.

Hello and welcome.

-Which model Mac?
-Which version of OS X/macOS - Catalina?
-Are you using the multimedia keys on the keyboard - play/pause, etc.?

I'm using MacOs 10.15 Catalina.
I don't use the multimedia keys.
After starting up Firefox or Safari the Apple mUsic starts paying and after quitting it restarts.
Something to do with preferences? I cannot figure out which then.

OK, thanks.

I wonder if you have an extension installed in Safari/Firefox that may be controlling the Music app? Also, do you have a Touchbar model MacBook Pro - maybe you are inadvertently brushing the Music app icon there?

It appeared that it has nothing to do with a extension. I was using as a startingpage an page from a televsion streaming service. After choosing another starting page the problem didn't occur anymore.
Thank yoy for your help.

Ahh...so you were hearing the audio from the streaming site then?

Glad it's resolved.
