1) Mac Software Engineer
Studio Tools

The Studio Tools Department is responsible for developing Pixar’s in-house proprietary film-making software. The Engineering Team is looking for software engineers to help create and maintain new software for the studio. The position requires deep understanding of software application engineering, an ability to collaborate in a small cross-functional team of world-class developers and skill in designing and implementing high quality code.

Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, test and support proprietary 3D film-making software
• Program high quality, robust, easy to maintain code and unit tests in C++, Objective-C and Python
• Work effectively with a development team of Software Engineers, QA, Build, UI, Doc and Project Management to provide world class software for film production

Qualifications:

• Experience programming in C++ and Objective-C/Cocoa
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent
• Strong object-oriented design and implementation skills
• Experience with OS X
• Experience/Knowledge of 3D graphics, interaction techniques and 3D applications (e.g. Maya, SOFTIMAGE) is a plus
• Proven ability to work with a team to deliver high quality software in a fast paced, dynamic environment


2) Software Engineer

Summary of Job:

• Experience/Knowledge of 3D graphics, interaction techniques and 3D applications (e.g. Maya, SOFTIMAGE) is a plus
• Proven ability to work with a team to deliver high quality software in a fast paced, dynamic environment


3) Software Engineer (Objective C/Cocoa)

The Engineering Team is looking for Mac software engineers to help create and maintain new software for the studio. The position requires a deep understanding of software application engineering, an ability to collaborate in a cross-functional team of world-class developers, and skill in designing and implementing robust, easy to maintain code.

Responsibilities:

• Develop, implement, test and support software
• Work effectively with a team of engineers and program managers.
• Work with artists and developers to provide world class software development and support for film production

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience engineering in Objective-C / Cocoa
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent
Strong OS X application development experience
• Experience working with technical and non-technical software users
• Experience developing multimedia applications used by creative professionals a plus
• Experience with OS X multimedia architecture and APIs including Quicktime, Core Audio, and Core VIdeo
• Commitment to creating world class production tools
• Strong problem solving skills with high attention to detail and quality
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Proven ability to work with a team to deliver high quality software in a fast paced, dynamic, deadline oriented environment
