I hate throwing things away and so I have accumulated a lot of network cables with broken connectors etc. that have been hanging around for ages. I purchased a crimping tool and some RJ45 connectors and set about repairing them. It was a lot easier than I thought it might be and I now have a dozen network cables of varying lengths at my disposal.
