Hi - I'm new to posting here - although I have found answers to other queries in the past in various forums. I hope I will actually be able to give back and offer advice myself someday!
I have a new 2GHZ Intel iMac with 2GB RAM and running 10.4.7. I am using iMovie 6.0.2.
When I import from my video camera directly via firewire (or through an analogue-digital converter I used to use with my old camera) I can't hear the sound when importing - but it is there when I playback. I have tried the same set up with my Intel Powerbook, and a friend's G4 Powerbook and I always hear the sound while importing. All settings are the same... I have no idea what to do!
