The other night I shut my iMac down as normal, only to try and turn it on the next day but to no avail:(.

There appears to be no sign of any power what so ever! which is quite worrying as it didn't show any signs of 'dying' or any abnormal function before I shut it down that night.

I know the power cord and fuse in the plug is fine... And that the internal battery seems fine... I get a reading of 3.45v on a meter. But that's about all I know unfortunately:confused:.

I've tried to reset the PMU, but that has had no results either.

Thanks very much for your patients and any help you can give me!

I have found out recently that the battery inside the comupter will actually cause a computer not to start up at all. we found this out on some of the OLD black laptops and some of the G3. When we changed the battery those computers started up fine.

Just a thought
