IINA 'The modern media player for macOS'?

Does anyone use IINA media player? It's not in the Apple Store and I believe it's open source. Does it have any advantages over QuickTime?

Hello, thanks for the reply. I have VLC on my iMac. Although I find QT does everything I need, I even used QT on Windows a while back.

I remember the Windows QT, IIRC it could play virtually any codec, unlike Windows Media Player. I've never needed other players to QT on iMac or Macbook.
