a 2020 m1 air w/ ventura w/ current updates, several days ago started getting a ? in a small blue square instead of images on receiving mail.....doesnt matter where from, out of country or local .....have a private server and have checked images and they are in the server but not making it to the mail app. have gone through settings in mail and can see nothing amiss .......any help ?

In the Mail settings under Privacy, make sure that all 3 options are unchecked.
