Help with loggin in

I set up my Mac to login using just user name and password. If I log off, it will work, but when I reboot, it goes back to display login windows as list of users. Any suggestions?

Thats correct.

That lets you login as the Admin User, you do a have a separate Admin Account, and your normal account set to Standard?

We think its cause of FileVault encrypting it. I am logging in as a domain user account.

You have me at a loss, what are you trying to do?

All OS X Macs login with a user name and password.

Under login options, you can set it to display the login as an user name and password as well as list of users. When we set it to user name and password, it will work if we log off, but if we restart the Mac, the login screen is displayed as list of users

It must be something else effecting it as I just test it with my Lion iMac and both times it offers the same Name and Password screen.

You are aware that FileVault is total lockout;-)

Yeah, we know. We were just wondering if there was a way around it.

Is there a server setting for this. I recall there used to be, the server might be overriding the local settings.
