Help updating to 10.8 Maverick?

I need some help updating to 10.8 Maverick.

I fit all the requirements. When I try to install the free upgrade on the App Store, it says "We could not complete your purchase. OS X Mavericks requires a Core 2 Duo, Core i3, Core i5, Core i7, or Xeon Processor".

I have an Core 2 Duo, so why can't I upgrade?

There are 2 models of Core 2 Duo, one is upgradeable the other not:-(

1) Model pc or intel
2) Year
3) Present OS X
