Hello,

Running the latest, Sonoma I think it is.

Have an program I am trying to set up that uses HamLib and requires the mac IP and a Port Number.

I can located the IP Number, but can't find where the Port number for it is.

I pulled up this help from another site, but is probably an old link that doesn't fo anywhere.

How, please, explicity (Sr. Citizen problems) do I find the mac Port being used ?

Thanks,
Bob

How to find your port number on Mac

  1. Launch System Preferences
  2. Go to Network > Advanced
  3. Click the Port Scan tab and enter the IP address you wish to scan

Hi Robert,

Not sure what software that you are using, what radio, or how its connected. Can you let me know.

Is the software asking for a port number or a com port number? If it is a com port, then they are ussually entered as COM1, COM2, etc Try COM1 first and see if that works. You also may need to enter a port speed. The speed will depend on the cable and transceiver.
