How do I remove a card from a group without removing it from Contacts?
I wish to remove a card from a particular distribution group (a smart group), I went to that group, highlighted that name, then pressed delete. A pop up screen asked if I wanted to delete that card. I canceled because I do not want to delete the card, I only want to remove it from that smart group.

Create a new card with made up info & add it to that smart group. Now highlight it in the group & press delete. Go through with the process of deleting it then check to see if it is still in your contacts list.

Well, I seem to have forgotten how to add it to the smart group. Drag & Drop did not work.

OK, did that. When I delete from smart group it deletes the card from All Contacts.

I have an idea that I have good reason to believe will solve this problem - if it can be done: Is there a way to convert a smart group into an ordinary group?

OK, I have accomplished that. I will now consider this thread closed.
Thank you for your kind and generous assistance. Incidentally converting it from a smart group to an ordinary group does give me the ability tto remove a card from the group w/o deleting it. Perhaps ordinary groups are smarter than smart groups. :)
