When I double-click the bezel, I get about 1/3 of a second to find and select the app I'm looking for before it selects an app.

Is there any way to stop it from selecting an app, and letting *me* pick the app I want to select?

Hi Howard,

Not sure what you mean by double clicking the bezel...

Also what version of MacOS are you on?

I am referring to double-clicking the crown of my Apple Watch to bring up recent apps on my watch. All of my operating systems are current.

In the latest updates double clicking automatically goes to the last used app.

I find it easier to set the apps as a list and then tap the crown once, then scroll through the list to find the app I want.

When I double click, if I'm fast enough, I can scroll through recent apps. But I'm rarely fast enough.

The same here... I just don't try anymore to use the double tap... Maybe the youngins have better luck that we do using that feature. Would be nice if they offered a setable delay.

You can change the double-click speed in your settings. Just go to "Mouse" or "Trackpad" in your system preferences and slow it down a bit. That way, you'll have more time to pick the app before it auto-selects.
