Creating keyboard shortcut

Hi, I wanted to create a keyboard shortcut to open image files with Pixelmator app.

System preferences —> keyboard —> shortcuts —> Services, selected Open with Pixelmator and entered ⌘E. Now when I click an image file then hit ⌘E nothing happens. Did I do anything wrong?

Hello and welcome.

It may be because Command-E is used by macOS for the Eject command.

I tried the same thing using Control-F5 and it didn't work with Pixelmator. I then tried it with Pixelmator Pro and it worked perfectly.

Maybe try a few other key combinations?
