Shortcut Creating Problem, Please ?

Hello,

Thanks for All the previous help.
This is a bit hard to describe, so please bear with me a bit:

Basically, when I try to create a shortcut to put on my desktop, the shortcut seems
to open us some kind of a "text" version of what the screen actually looked like when I right clicked
to make the shortcut.

Here's one example, but there are many other happenings like this.

But when I click on the shortcut, here's what opens up:

Any thoughts on why this happens, and how to correct would be very appreciated.

What is the screenshot of? A webpage? How are you trying to make the shortcut?
