Looking for software to convert .mp4 files to view on DVD player. I've tried several of the free samples and none work well enough to consider purchasing. Any help?

Have you tried Burn? It works well for me.

To make a playable DVD, open Burn. In the Burn window, select Video(1) and DVD Video(2). Drop the mp4 file onto the window(3). You will be prompted to convert it to MPEG. Agree to this as dvds require MPEG files. When that's done choose PAL or NTSC(4). Then click om Burn(5)
