Configure SNMP v2 in Sierra (10.12.3)

I am trying to configure SNMP v2 in Sierra (10.12.3) Mac OS virtual machine. I followed the steps mentioned in the link below, but after that, I opened up the logs to check if there are any errors. 2 errors were present. They were "Community not configured" and "Network not configured". I did provide a Read Only Community string. I am not sure if the steps mentioned in the link below are still valid or it is completely invalid. If so, can anyone please help and provide me a step-by-step detail of configuring SNMP v2 in Sierra (10.12.3)?
