Hello again

I posted this problem a couple of days ago and thought it had been solved. Stupidly I posted the reply after trying it on a different Mac. The Mac with the recycle bin containing
␀␀
␀␀␀.?␀ that will not delete, will still not delete, even after trying the terminal prompt suggested.

Can anyone else suggest a solution, and what on earth the file might be?!

thanks for the suggestion, unfortunately it comes back with rm: /Users/NeilH/.Trash/*: No such file or directory

any other ideas anyone?
