Is the a system restore on mac?

hi everybody,

i deleted some final cut files by mistake about 2 days ago and, i want
to know if there is any way to get those file back and how.


system specs
mac os x 10.3.8
1.6 GHz processor speed
power pc G4
512MB DDR RAM
150GB HDD

Hi there Katalys,

sorry for the delay in replying but we've all been on holiday !

The best course of action is always to stop using the machine in question as soon as possible, this is because you could 'overwrite' the data that you are trying to recover.

Unfortunately you need some extra software such as DataRescue II this is very good at finding deleted files and recovering them. They have a demo on their website that allows you to see if the files are recoverable before buying it.

It is quite expensive but it can pay for itself over and over again.

You will need an external drive for DataRescue II to work, as it needs to recover the files to a different drive...
