Youtube not playing

I have an iPad 1, and youtube used to load and play perfectly but about a couple of weeks or so ago youtube wouldn't load or play.
Once in a while I would have one video from youtube play but then after that all I get is the little "neverending" loading circle.
Any assistance would be appreciated.
