Yosemite screensaver cannot use iPhoto folder

I can start using my iPhoto collection for the screensaver, but after over 100 photos (I have thousands) it always reverts to the horrid artificial Nat Geo collection. i select the type of presentation, the folder, and everything works until then. Has anyone else had a similar problem? I have found others online. Any clues?

After a quick Google it seems this is a problem for many. The only fix I found & I didn't have time to look too hard & long, was to minimise System Preferences to the Dock rather than quitting it. Try this to see if it solves the issue.

Thank you so much, yes it seems to have 'solved' this awkward little problem with Yosemite. No reversion to the horrid Nat Geo crap...

Glad you're happy with it kingsleyflint, as it's not a permanent fix. Maybe with a future update (check Software Update or the App Store) will fix it permanently?
