.xml files recovered. Need help converting them for Ableton.

I recently accidentally deleted some pretty important files while I was cleaning up my mac, making space. I quickly realized it and used "disk drill" to recover them. The files I need are Ableton Live Sets (.als) but when I search the recovered files, all I get are thousands of xml files that don't open into ableton... I'm sure they're the right files, because when I search by song name, certain .xml files appear in the search results. I have no idea what to do with these files and it's really important to me that I recover these projects. Any help would be great, thanks!

Have you tried changing the prefix of one of these .xml files to .als?
