I have several hundreds of photos uploaded from my iPhone that have the YYYY-MM-DD hh.mm.ss stamp in the title. These photos are for inventory purpose and the time stamp is totally irrelevant. Is there a workflow that can work with a batch of photos and: 1) find the date/timestamp, and then 2) replace it with a name such as Inventory, and 3) the sequentially number the files. I do not see any option for removing date/time stamp because the hh.mm.ss vary for each individual photo.

I'm guessing you want to retain the bit of the name that is not the Time/Date???

You are right.
If you use AppleScript you might be able to locate the date and remove it.
