like on Windows you click on the upside down arrow in the upper left corner top of the page and it keeps
your computer up to the most current replies, changes to your page your viewing.
To my knowledge in a Mac ( I got the mini) you have to click some place else and then click back to
where you were to see if any changes have taken place in real time

Do you mean in Safari and the web page you are viewing?

If so, on the right-hand side of the URL bar, there is a circle with an arrow in it similar to the one in the upper-left in Microsoft Edge.. Click that, and it will refresh the current page you are viewing.

If not:
-Which version of Windows?
-Are you in a web browser app like Edge?
