Will a workflow continue in resting mode when the computer screen goes black?

I set up a workflow that loops a set of tasks every 15 minutes. Will it continue to work even when the screen goes dark? Or do i need to disable power saving mode? Thanks!

-Which version of OS X?
-What you mean by "when the computer screen goes black"? Does the computer go to sleep, or just the display?
