I need help. I currently have a MacBook Pro 17 inch from mid-2010. I tried to factory reset it (following the rules of apple support and countless YouTube videos). I deleted the Macintosh hd and went to reinstall the disk of os snow leopord, and all I get is this screen showing the Mac hd with a yellow ! In it, with the install Mac OS X window, but it says at the bottom that Mac OS X cannot start from this disk, meaning the hard drive? Did I delete the wrong hard drive? I didn't have anything backed up, and after shadow boxing for 40 minutes in front of my bathroom mirror still can't get it to work, SOS!

Did you reformat your HD using Disc Utility first? This is necessary before installing the OS
