Using Screen Saver to make a slide show on Mac

I had used this feature for several years on older versions of MAC OS, and now returning to it in Sonoma I find I cannot adjust the interval between slide changes. It appears fixed at 3 or 4 seconds. The earlier versions had choices from 1 second to (I think) 24 hours. Does anyone know how to adjust this please?

I don't think that it's ever been possible to change the screensaver interval. Are you sure that you are not confusing it with theDesktop picture? You can change that from 5 seconds to even day.

Thanks MightyGem. That was indeed what I had done. It's so long since I had used it that the memory had let me down.
