Using a powerbook to support a mini

Hi, I just bought a late 2012 mac mini. I was wondering if I could use the superdrive in my Mid 2009 MacBook Pro to download software to the mini? I have some software that I can only get on disk. If I could get it to the mini, that would be extremely helpful. Thank you for your help in advance.

Just turn on CD Sharing in System Preference > Sharing, and th mini will see it.
