USB Stick Naming Problems ?

Hi,

I have been trying to name a new USB Stick (ExFat formatted) but am having trouble.

I can name it simply BOB, no problem.

But, if I try to append a date, it won't let me.
e.g., BOB 11-21-2021, or BOB 11_21_2021 won't work.

Why, and what are the rules and limitations for naming a USB Stick, please ?
