Urgent! Folder is suddenly empty after i copied!

Hi all

I had many folders on my desktop with lots of documents in them.

I then created a new folder on my desktop and named it "Desktop" and dragged those folders in the new "Desktop" folder.

Then I was surprised when I opened the new "Desktop" folder with the other folders, and
saw that the folders I copied are all EMPTY! no documents!

Does anyone know about this???

Have you tried a Spotlight search for one of the documents by name? Do you use Time Machine, if so you could restore the documents that way.

Thanks for answer. Yes I have tried Spotlight and I do not have time machine.

Thing is that I found the files, with is great, but it I had organized them in many folders. I can´t understand why they suddenly disappear from the folders.

It will take me many days to re-organize them back to the folders.

Very strange.
