Unusual WiFi issue

Hi.
My Mac Computer will connect to the WiFi fine and we have tried ethernet as well. We will go to the web browser and it will work for about 3-5 min before just losing internet yet the connection is still fine. We know this because we will force quit safari and open it and it will work again for about 3-5 min before web pages stop loading again. Does anyone know a fix for this?

-Which model Mac?
-Which version of OS X/macOS?
-So, Safari is freezing? Any cursor pinwheeling or other applications freezing as well?
-Have you tried any other browsers like Chrome or Firefox?
-Are you running a VPN?
-Do you have any third-party applications like antivirus, MacKeeper, etc?
