Undo Passwordupdate

Hi all,


I usualy save username and password of my website accounts on safari. Recently, after the fields where filled with username and password by safari, I changed somehow the password without noticing it and pressed enter. Then the window popped up if I want to update the password and I accidentally pressed enter again.

Now I don`t know what the password of a certain account is because that.

Is it possible to undo the password update without using the time machine?
Got a MacBook Pro with macOS Sierra.

Hello and welcome.

You could restore the login keychain from Time Machine, but sometimes that creates additional problems. I would try simply going to the site and use the "forgot password" function, if it has one, to reset your password for that site. If it doesn't have one, we can try restoring your old login keychain from Time Machine.
