trying to install OS X 10.5.6

I'm currently running 10.4.11 and trying to install OS X 10.5.6 on my intel iMac 2007 but just keep getting the message cant install on this computer and the language option. The disc i purchased on ebay and is a grey one i have tried it on my wifes i mac and it works fine but not mine so i think the disc is ok can anyone please help.

If its not the retail version, then it won't work with a different model Mac. You lucky it said that else you'd have a far bigger mess to clean up.
