Transfer Purchased Games

I have a Macbook Pro and I've purchased a few big games like Rome:Total War and Empire:Total War.
My question is, is it possible to download these games onto my mac desktop computer for free? Like if I were to be on the same account?

If they have been purchased from the Apple App store, log in with the correct Account Details, go to the Purchased Tab, and click the download button.
